Alexa Jeanne Loste

Alexa is a senior at Yale College from Manila, Philippines, pursuing a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and Economics. Alexa is deeply passionate about harnessing the power of biology to address global issues in health and the environment. At the CC Lab, Alexa is investigating approaches to greenhouse gas mitigation which could be accelerated by synthetic biology.

Beyond the Lab, Alexa is an undergraduate researcher at the Yale Systems Biology Institute where she works on projects to develop genome editing technologies. Beyond both labs, Alexa is an avid foodie (with a specialization in East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines), baker of chiffon cakes and cream puffs, and hardcore consumer of Taylor Swift-generated content.
