Novel Systems and Methods for Carbon Containment

Investigating Novel Systems

The CC Lab generates, considers, and evaluates new ideas before more time and resources are then devoted to them as stand alone projects. As a general principle, the CC Lab seeks to identify areas and projects where it can add value to the quickly evolving landscape without duplicating efforts of other entities. New projects should also meet the CC Lab’s criteria or have the potential to do so. Some of the CC Lab’s areas of investigation currently include:

  • Sargassum
  • Soil carbon
  • Peat methane
  • New end-uses of carbon
  • Mineralization in coastal systems
  • Other climate systems, e.g. albedo effect
