Fiona Kurylowicz serves as an Analyst at the Carbon Containment Lab.
Fiona is a 2020 graduate of Yale College, where she majored in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology as well as Russian and Eastern European Studies. While at Yale, Fiona spent a year researching the contributions of microbial sources and sinks to methane emissions in peat bogs, including a summer of field work with the Yale Maine Methane Project in Washington County, ME. She is interested in understanding the biological mechanics of greenhouse gas cycling in pristine and disturbed aquatic systems, but more generally, she appreciates any opportunity to put on some wellies and jump in a lake. In her free time, she enjoys backpacking and backyard naturalism - catching frogs, finding birds, and flipping logs for salamanders. While she originally hails from a suburb of Chicago, she is proud to call New England home.
