Charlie Mayhew is a rising senior at Yale College double-majoring in History and Physics. He was drawn to the CC Lab by its ambitious goals for containment and interdisciplinary, collaborative approach. His current project is assessing potential opportunities for methane recovery efforts at abandoned coal mines. Within Yale, he is a member of Benjamin Franklin College and the Viola Question, a campus improv group. In his spare time, he likes to cook, play piano, and go for long runs. Though born and raised in New York City, he loves the outdoors and hiking, in particular through the White Mountains and Adirondacks (where he is very slowly crossing off all 46 peaks).
