Jasmina serves as a Research Scientist for the Carbon Containment Lab. She is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Yale University. She earned a Master of Philosophy in Geology and Geophysics at Yale University and a Master of Science in Organismic, Evolutionary, and Paleo-Biology at the University of Bonn. As a Molecular Paleobiologist/ Organic Geochemist Jasmina works towards advancing our understanding of the chemical mechanisms and environmental requirements involved in biomolecule fossilization. Her research relies on high-end chemical, bioanalytical and mineralogical methods, supplemented by fieldwork and adventures around the globe.
