Based in Seattle and Twisp, Washington, Marc serves as a strategic advisor to the Carbon Containment Lab.
As a consultant he provides program, technical and management consulting services to clients in the fields of climate change and clean energy, resource conservation, natural resource management, and sustainability. Marc has worked at the international, federal, state, and local levels for government, non-profit, foundation, and private clients. Recently he served on the project team to formulate Washington’s 2021 State Energy Strategy for the Department of Commerce and previously led the consultant team to develop the state’s wildland fire protection strategic plan for WA Department of Natural Resources.
Marc co-founded and served as President of the Cascadia Consulting Group from 1993-2015 and is now President of the Caspian Group LLC. Marc serves on the boards of Climate Solutions and Energy Northwest and is chair emeritus of the Washington Conservation Voters. Marc has a Masters in Public and Private Management from Yale University and a BA in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
